Dave Franco shared that his friends have been playfully comparing his appearance to Luigi Mangione, the alleged suspect in the UnitedHealthcare CEO murder case.
When asked at the Sundance Film Festival if he’d noticed the resemblance, Franco told the Hollywood Reporter, “I’ve never received more texts about anything in my life. Everyone with my number has reached out about it.”
Franco’s wife, Alison Brie, humorously chimed in, saying, “Everyone sees it.”
The actor, 46, and Brie, 42, attended the festival to promote their upcoming horror film, *Thriller*. Meanwhile, Mangione, 26, has made headlines for allegedly shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a Hilton hotel in New York City last month.
Surveillance footage reportedly captured the suspect lingering outside the hotel, where Thompson was attending a conference, before firing multiple shots at 6:45 a.m. Mangione then fled the scene on an e-bike, leaving behind a cell phone later found near the hotel.
While Franco’s resemblance to the suspect has sparked lighthearted jokes among his friends, the real-life case surrounding Mangione remains a serious matter.
