Meghan Markle’s early departure from the 2025 Invictus Games without Prince Harry was a planned decision to ensure she could be with their children while Harry continued supporting the event, a source told *Page Six* on Wednesday.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not bring their children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, to the games in Vancouver, Canada.
According to *Hello!*, Markle, 43, followed a similar schedule during the 2023 Invictus Games, arriving partway through and spending five days with Harry, 40, in Düsseldorf.
Meanwhile, Harry, who founded the Games in 2014, will stay in Vancouver until the closing ceremony on Sunday.
The couple’s representatives have not yet responded to requests for comment.
Markle and Harry arrived in Canada over the weekend and have attended several events together. Markle has been sharing behind-the-scenes photos and videos from their experiences on her recently reactivated Instagram account.
On Tuesday, she posted a video of herself and Harry holding hands while walking on a snowy slope. She later joined in the fun, cautiously trying out snow tubing as Harry encouraged her.
The couple, married since 2018, was also seen sharing affectionate moments during the opening ceremony at BC Place Stadium last Saturday. That same evening, they made a surprise appearance at an NHL game at Rogers Arena.
