Ashley St. Clair has filed for sole legal custody of her son, stating that Elon Musk has only met the child three times, with their last visit in November 2024.
According to court documents filed in New York, St. Clair says Musk was not present for their son’s birth in September 2024 and has had little involvement in his care.
She also filed a paternity petition, though she claims Musk has acknowledged being the father in written messages.
St. Clair states that she and Musk began their relationship in May 2023, and their child was born the following year.
She says Musk spent a few hours with the child in September and saw him briefly again in November.
Her legal team says they attempted to resolve the matter privately but were unable to reach an agreement. They also noted difficulties in delivering legal documents to Musk due to his public status.
Musk has not publicly responded. This comes shortly after musician Grimes, who shares three children with him, posted online asking him to address an important family matter.
