Meghan Crumpler became known to audiences through a documentary-style reality series that follows people undergoing major weight loss, first appearing on “Too Large” and later on “1000-lb Best Friends,” a show that films participants’ health transformations over several years.
At her heaviest, Meghan weighed close to 500 pounds (around 227 kg) and relied on oxygen support just to breathe, needing help from her husband for many everyday tasks.
Her journey took a major turn when she underwent bariatric surgery, a weight-loss operation that helped her shed more than 100 pounds (about 45 kg) relatively quickly.
