After two years, a woman was reunited with her stolen husky, and their reunion was heartbreaking

A sorrowful tale became an incredible reunion between a lost dog and the lady who never gave up looking for him. The two have finally met one another again after more than two years of restless attempts and plenty of hope, and the scene is nothing short of wonderful!

Kameroun Mares initially met her favorite puppy in 2013. The lovely Husky was only a puppy at the time, and Kameroun needed a buddy more than ever as she battled a serious type of cancer. Semper Fidelis, which means “always loyal” in Latin, was the name she gave to her cute furry buddy. And Semper was always devoted to the lady who loved him more than anything else in the world.

However, something dreadful occurred in 2016. Kameroun needed to fly to California to complete her treatment, so she left Semper in the care of her roommate, but she received a call that broke her heart. Her favorite husky had vanished!

Kameroun, distraught, had urgently sought to locate Semper. She distributed leaflets and notifications everywhere, even online, but her dog seemed to have gone. Fortunately, the mother never gave up hope, and even a year after Semper went missing, she never stopped looking for him. She even sought the assistance of a private investigator, Ana Campos. That’s when she discovered something incredibly unusual.

“I kept looking for him for a year while in California, placing posters on pet sites, phoning 15 vet offices near where I used to reside over there about him, calling humane organizations about him, sheltering him,” Kameroun told THE DODO. When I approached Ana Campos for additional assistance, she advised that I double-check her AKC Reunite chip. So, in May 2017, she went to the humane society, and they checked online. That’s when she found that a lady had put her name on Semper’s chip a year before, on April 11, 2016. ”

It was found out that the business that microchipped Semper for the second time never checked to see whether he already had a chip or if he had a prior owner. Semper was soon advertised for sale on Craigslist for $200. That’s why Semper never appeared.

But, after two and a half years and many tears, Kameroun and Semper were set to meet again in an emotional reunion. “Being able to participate in and witness this reunion was one of the happiest days of my life.” “I consider him as an extension of myself and my heart,” said Kameroun. “I’m relieved to have him back in my arms!”

Watch the touching moment here.

Semper had been seized and later sold by Kameroun’s ex-roommate. “He was sold illegally by her roommate two and a half years ago,” Ana Campos posted on Facebook. “On April 30, 2016, she was informed that he had died.” However, on April 11, 2016, the buyer registered his AKC Reunite chip with their name. Instead, they registered this certified chip on Petkey pets. Petkey pets did not care to check to see whether he was already chipped.
