A homeless man and his injured dog get an unexpected Christmas miracle

Steve Anthony, a homeless man with severe bone cancer, and River, his dog who was struck by a car and severely wounded, both had a “Christmas Miracle.” Steve was working at a Christmas tree lot in Roseville, California when the dog was struck.

The guy who struck the dog did not stop, but Jenifer Martin, the driver of the next vehicle, came out to assist. She brought River to the Pet Emergency Center and spent all of her money on the 9-month-old puppy.

River, who was in poor health, had a shattered pelvis. As a result, Jennifer began collecting donations for River and Steve on Facebook. River had a successful operation. Over $9,000 was collected in only 48 hours.

The funds were sufficient for Steve to get temporary lodgings while River recovered. They will spend a week at a motel while River heals. What a wonderful Christmas surprise!

Please forward this to your relatives and friends.
