The dog in the video below was treated so badly that when a kind woman named Monica Mitreanu tried to comfort him by patting him, he was so scared that even a gentle and loving touch felt like an attack.
This took place on November 11 at the animal refuge known as Breasta, located in Craiova, Romania. Because of the cruel treatment of shelter animals, the city of Craiova has earned the nickname “The European Capital of Canine Cruelty.” The dog was fortunate enough to regain his confidence in people and was just adopted into a loving family in the United Kingdom.
