A man found a 1.8-pound unconscious Chihuahua puppy that turned out not to be a Chihuahua at all

Dallas RRR rescuers discovered a small little dog just clinging to life. He was so frail that he couldn’t keep his eyes open or hold his small head up for long. Stuart, the dog they named later, was surprisingly small, weighing just 1.8 pounds.

Stuart was mislabeled as a Chihuahua due to his small size, but he wasn’t. What the doctor said next stunned the rescuers: this puppy, weighing less than 2 pounds, was truly a Pit Bull. He was so anemic as a result of a tick and flea infestation that he required blood transfusions right away or he wouldn’t live.

The first two days of Stuart’s rescue were so terrifying that rescuers doubted he’d survive. They were not, however, giving up on him. Stuart started to improve three days later. He moved from being in and out of awareness to being awake for extended periods of time. It was now time to place Stuart in a foster home. Susan, a lady, was delighted to give her heart to the young warrior.

Susan picked up Stuart, and when she got him home, he slept a lot, but he brightened up a few days later, luckily. He really started acting like a dog! Shane, Susan’s brother, was eager to meet the small canine warrior. Shane and Stuart hit it off right away. Stuart got directly on top of Shane when he sat down on the couch. He rested his head on his chest, and they both slept out. It seemed as though these two were destined to be together.

What follows is sheer magic! Check out the video below to watch Stuart’s whole rescue and how he looks today!
