Celine Dion tells the truth about her rare condition diagnosis as lying was “too much” for her…

Celine Dion has bravely opened up about her health struggles, sharing that she didn’t initially take the time to rest or understand what was happening to her.

In a special NBC interview airing on June 11, Dion will talk about her diagnosis with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), a rare autoimmune disorder that causes severe muscle stiffness and rigidity.

Diagnosed in December 2022, Dion faced a series of challenges. The condition forced her to cancel the European leg of her world tour and eventually the entire tour. Despite these setbacks, Dion assured her fans on Instagram that she was determined to continue.

In the upcoming NBC interview, Dion will explain that keeping her condition a secret became unbearable. She struggled with the pressure to maintain a public image while managing her health issues and felt she was deceiving her loyal fans. This made her decision to go public with her diagnosis even more crucial.

This interview will be Dion’s first television appearance since her diagnosis and will air as a primetime special on June 11 at 10 PM ET / 3 AM BST.

In addition to the interview, Dion stars in a new documentary titled *I Am: Celine Dion*, directed by Oscar-nominated Irene Taylor.

The documentary, described as a “love letter to her fans,” highlights both her musical career and personal struggles. A teaser trailer released in May has already touched many viewers, offering an emotional glimpse into her journey.

*I Am: Celine Dion* will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting June 25. The documentary features intimate moments of Dion undergoing physical therapy and expressing her deep desire to return to performing, showcasing her resilience and unwavering commitment to her fans.
