The Halberts, who already had two children, chose to adopt embryos through the National Embryo Donation Center (NEDC).
To their surprise, their ultrasound revealed they were expecting triplets instead of twins, as one embryo had split into two identical twins and an additional sibling.
Aaron Halbert praised NEDC for their dedication to valuing embryos and life. Rachel Halbert was deeply moved by the news, feeling both joy and apprehension.
In April 2016, the Halberts welcomed three baby girls—Ryley, Whitley, and Anne Waverly—into their family. These embryos, created 15 years earlier, had been frozen until then. Rachel expressed heartfelt gratitude for the chance to carry and birth these children.
The couple is thankful to the biological parents for choosing adoption, giving their children a chance at life.
Aaron emphasized that NEDC’s mission is about more than just facilitating adoption—it’s about providing embryos with the opportunity to thrive.
