Thirty-five years ago, a perfectly healthy baby girl was born with normal height and weight. Her parents, who dreamed of having five children, soon welcomed a baby boy, bringing them great joy.
However, it became evident that both children had health issues related to a deficiency in growth hormone.
Despite the best efforts of top specialists, no treatment proved effective.
Various medical procedures and medications only worsened their condition. Eventually, the father left the family, leaving the mother, Nancy, to bear all the responsibility.
Over time, the children’s condition improved slightly: John grew stronger, and Geena started school. After finishing the 9th grade, Geena worked as a sales consultant for a cosmetics company, while John stayed home to help his mother and sister.
They lead a modest life, relying on Nancy’s disability benefits and a social package. To make ends meet, Nancy learned the art of weaving and donates part of the proceeds to charity.
Geena has a passion for playing the guitar and dreams of performing like the women she sees on TV. Despite being in their thirties, Nancy’s children still seem small to her.
Yet, at times, they surprise her by acting like adults, such as when Geena opened a bank account on her own, leaving Nancy astonished.
The family lives together and attends church every Sunday. Despite their challenges, Geena and John dream of having their own families and children one day.
