A mother who lost her daughter in an accident discovered a heartfelt letter from her in the car months later…

Do we always take the time to tell our loved ones how much they mean to us?

After a tragic accident claimed her daughter’s life, a grieving mother discovered a heartwarming letter from her months later in the car.

Cindy Mathis shared her story on Facebook, hoping to inspire others to find the right words, just as her daughter Macy did. Cindy was incredibly proud of Macy, whom she considered the most beautiful girl in the world.

Macy, a young girl with a bright and happy face, was Cindy’s only child, her source of strength and inspiration. They shared an extraordinary bond that continues even now.

In 2016, Macy and her 18-year-old friend, Adam Sattler, were involved in a fatal accident. Both tragically lost their lives.

A month after the accident, a heartbroken Cindy opened her car trunk and found a note in Macy’s handwriting. It was the first message from her beloved daughter. The note was signed with a special instruction: “Mom, open it if you can’t sleep.”

Though brief, the message was deeply meaningful, showing how much Macy loved her mother.

Encouraged by this discovery, Cindy searched for more letters and soon found 25 messages that Macy had hidden over time. Each one was sealed and labeled, meant to be opened during moments of loneliness, anxiety, or sleeplessness.

One letter was particularly special, intended for when Cindy missed her daughter. Inside, Macy had written that she missed her mother too.

On Facebook, Cindy shared, “Macy, if only you knew how much your mom misses you!”

Cindy believes that these letters helped her cope with her grief, as it felt like Macy was still comforting her, even after she was gone.
