Amanda Wood, a 37-year-old from America, faced serious health issues due to her weight, which had reached 170 kilograms. Constantly tired and feeling invisible in public, she decided it was time for a change.
Despite her initial attempts to lose weight on her own, Amanda struggled to see results. Realizing she needed help, she sought guidance from a professional nutritionist and a gym trainer.
With a structured exercise program and a strict diet—35% carbohydrates, 25% fat, and 40% protein—Amanda began to see progress. “I didn’t tell anyone how hard it was for me. I had no energy for anything,” Amanda admits.
Amanda’s daily meals are now carefully planned.
Breakfast is an egg or a protein shake, lunch is typically a chicken Caesar salad with Greek yogurt dressing or turkey meatballs with spaghetti, and snacks include cheese, an apple, or crackers. Dinner usually features lean chicken with vegetables or seafood.
In just two years, Amanda has lost 70 kilograms. Although she still faces health challenges, like a drop in hemoglobin levels requiring iron treatments, Amanda remains determined. She plans to lose another 20 kilograms and maintain her healthy lifestyle.
Amanda’s advice is simple: “Be kinder to yourself, because no one is perfect. Fight and never give up.” Despite the difficulties, she now enjoys going to the gym and looks forward to every workout.
