When Jackie Oelfke found her five-year-old granddaughter, Sunshine, emptying her piggy bank, she was surprised. Sunshine had been saving for months but wanted to withdraw all her money for a heartfelt reason.

Sunshine’s kindergarten teacher, Rita Hausher, expressed her gratitude, saying, “I have always felt sad when I had to tell a student, ‘no,’ when they ask if they can have milk.” Thanks to Sunshine’s initiative, that problem would be resolved.
So far, Sunshine’s GoFundMe page has raised nearly $19,000, ensuring her classmates will always have milk. Sunshine can be proud of her generosity, which has created a lasting impact and transformed a small act of kindness into a global movement.
