Freddie Combs, a 49-year-old former “X Factor” contestant, has sadly passed away.
His powerful voice captivated audiences during his time on the show. According to his wife, Kay, Freddie passed on September 10 at a hospital in Florida due to kidney failure.
A preacher who faced numerous health challenges, Freddie appeared on “The X Factor” in a wheelchair.
In 2009, he weighed 920 pounds but later reduced his weight to 540 pounds, as documented on TLC’s “Ton of Love” in 2010. He was a contestant on the second U.S. season of Simon Cowell’s “X Factor.”
Although Freddie was eliminated early, his wife Kay expressed gratitude for their 25-year marriage and cherished being his best friend.
