Last Saturday, Great Britain welcomed a new king and queen.
The coronation of Charles III and Queen Camilla took place in London, a moment cherished by the British, while Prince Harry’s brief appearance and early departure went largely unnoticed.
He arrived dressed in civilian clothes, quietly seated in the third row, far from the main figures of the event, unable to greet his close relatives.
It’s easy to understand why the prince, feeling sidelined, left as soon as he could.
He hurried into a black BMW and headed straight for the airport, skipping the post-coronation festivities, including the celebratory concert and aviation display.
In total, he spent just 28 hours and 42 minutes in the UK.
Notably, he was not invited to the Royal Lodge at Windsor Castle, where even Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife were present.
Western media reports that he also declined an invitation to the coronation dinner.
Officially, Harry claimed he was rushing back to California to celebrate his son Archie’s fourth birthday, which took place on the same day.
The celebration was a small, intimate affair with close friends.
Once again, the Sussexes showed they are perfectly content away from the royal spectacle and centuries-old traditions.
