Molly’s life had always been challenging, and her main worry was her son, Tommy. The constant moving from town to town and switching schools was taking a toll on him.
He began acting out, picking fights, and bullying other kids. Molly never expected that a phone call from the school principal would reopen a chapter of her past that she thought was long gone.
Tensions between her and her husband, Nigel, were escalating at home. Nigel never saw Tommy as his own and often referred to him as “your son.”
One evening, in frustration, he yelled, “Why can’t you control your son?” Molly was heartbroken by Nigel’s rejection of Tommy, especially after years of being together.

The next day, Molly attended a meeting at the school to address Tommy’s behavior. To her surprise, she saw her ex-boyfriend Christian standing beside the principal.
“I see myself in him,” Christian said, referring to Tommy. “I made a mistake, and I want to make things right.”
Molly was unsure how to handle Christian’s sudden reappearance, but she knew something had to change.
That evening, after yet another argument with Nigel, Molly came home to find him passed out with a bottle of alcohol in hand.
Finally, Molly decided to take control. “We’re leaving for a better place, Tommy,” she said, packing their bags and waking him up. “A place where our love will be appreciated.”
As they walked out of the apartment, for the first time in years, Molly felt a sense of hope.
