Born in Tucson, Arizona, in 1931, Barbara moved to San Francisco after her parents divorced and began her journey as a voice student at the Conservatory of Music. As a young girl, she performed in local bars but later decided to pursue acting.
Barbara’s first television role was in 1955 on The Johnny Carson Show, but she became famous for her iconic role in the fantasy sitcom “I Dream of Jeannie.” Now at 91, she has appeared in nearly 50 films and continues to work, including her recent role as Mrs. Claus in “My Adventures with Santa.”
Barbara emphasizes her lucky circumstances, saying, “I feel young!” She stays active with workouts and has a trainer who helps her with resistance training.
Recently, she wowed attendees at a Beverly Hills event, wearing a stunning navy satin top and black leggings. Social media was filled with praise for her youthful appearance.
In 2021, Barbara shared that her youthful longevity comes from a careful diet, which includes plenty of vegetables and lean proteins.
