Meghan Markle recently admitted she once “envied” Paris Hilton for growing up “pretty” and confessed to having judged her before interviewing her on the *Archetypes* podcast.
During their conversation, Paris, 41, discussed being labeled a “bimbo” and “dumb blonde” throughout her life. She revealed that, when she was younger, she created a public persona as a mask to protect herself.

Markle has been in the spotlight recently, having launched a new podcast episode, attended a private Spotify event, and appeared on a magazine cover.
Her podcast episode with Hilton highlighted the stereotypes women face, especially those labeled as attractive but unintelligent. For many in the early 2000s, Paris Hilton embodied the “bimbo” stereotype.
Meghan shared that, unlike Hilton, she didn’t grow up feeling attractive and initially judged Paris based on her public image, leading to an unfavorable impression.
However, after hearing about Paris’s personal struggles and the toll fame took on her, Meghan’s perception shifted.

During the podcast, Hilton opened up about how intense media attention negatively impacted her mental health, leaving her trapped in a persona she didn’t want.
After recording the episode, Meghan reached out to Paris to apologize for misjudging her, admitting, “I’m so sorry for the way I saw you before.”
