Harry Potter actress Dame Maggie Smith has passed away…

Dame Maggie Smith, the beloved British actress, has passed away at the age of 89. Her family shared that she spent her final day at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in the UK, surrounded by loved ones.

Her sons, Tobey Stephens and Chris Larkin, expressed that she left this world peacefully, with family and friends by her side.

Described as an intensely private person, Maggie is survived by her two sons and five grandchildren, who are heartbroken by the loss of their mother and grandmother.

Maggie’s remarkable career began in theater, leading to her first BAFTA nomination for the 1958 melodrama *Going to Nowhere*. She earned two Academy Awards for her outstanding performances in *The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie* (1970) and *California Suite* (1979).

As a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire, she was affectionately known as Dame Maggie Smith.

Fans remember her as an iconic actress who achieved great fame in her later years, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the entertainment industry. Her talent and spirit will be deeply missed.
