Exhausted and overwhelmed, Abby sat at the kitchen island, tears streaming down her face. Her baby, Logan, had been crying non-stop all day, leaving her feeling helpless and defeated. Noticing her distress, her concerned husband, Walter, approached and gently placed a hand on her shoulder.
In a worried voice, Walter asked, “Honey, how long has Logan been crying like this?” Abby, her voice shaky, replied, “It’s been all day, Walter. I’ve tried everything—changing him, feeding him, bathing him, burping him. Nothing seems to work. I just don’t know what else to do.”
Feeling for both his wife and their son, Walter offered reassurance. “Don’t worry, my love. We’ll figure this out together. Let’s go and see if we can calm him down.”
Relieved by Walter’s support, Abby nodded as they headed to Logan’s nursery.
As they got closer, Logan’s cries grew louder, further fraying Abby’s nerves. Entering the room, Walter softly spoke to their baby, “Hey buddy, looks like it’s been a tough day for you and Mama. Let’s see if Daddy can help.”
But as Walter leaned over the crib, something caught his eye—a small dictaphone hidden among the blankets, its red recording light blinking. Confused, Walter picked it up and muttered, “What’s this doing here?”
Intrigued, he pressed play, and the room was filled with a mysterious voice. Abby and Walter’s eyes widened in shock as they listened. Covering their mouths in disbelief, they realized the truth behind Logan’s cries was far more sinister than they ever imagined.
