On the night of May 1-2, the Met Costume Institute Gala took place in New York.
Nicole Kidman graced the red carpet at the Met Gala 2023 in a dress she originally wore 19 years ago. This year’s gala honored Karl Lagerfeld, with the theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.”
Many stars, including Penélope Cruz and Dua Lipa, showcased archival Chanel outfits by the legendary designer, creating a playful “battle of the brides.”
Nicole, 55, also made waves online even before the event. She chose a stunning dress from a 2004 advertisement for Chanel No. 5, directed by Baz Luhrmann. Despite nearly two decades passing since the ad aired, the outfit looked fantastic on her.
The main difference was in her hairstyle; in the original video, Kidman sported curled hair in a messy updo. For the Met Gala, she opted for a simpler look with her hair neatly gathered at the back and accented with a trendy bow.
