13-year-old Lucy, a blind pianist, amazed everyone with her performance on the public piano…

On Channel 4’s *The Piano*, 13-year-old Lucy, who is blind and autistic, delivered an awe-inspiring performance of Chopin’s *Nocturne in B-flat minor* at Leeds Train Station. Her talent left judges Lang Lang and Mika completely amazed.

The show features talented amateurs playing public pianos at UK train stations, without knowing they’re being judged for a chance to advance. Lucy’s performance stood out for her effortless mastery of such a challenging piece.

Lucy’s love for music began during her battle with eye cancer as a child. Her mother, Candice, shared how music provided comfort during difficult medical treatments, with Lucy often playing melodies on her little keyboard.

Supported by The Amber Trust, an organization dedicated to assisting blind musicians, Lucy’s unique teaching method helped her learn by feeling the piano keys. Her teacher, Daniel Bath, developed this approach, demonstrating her remarkable musical comprehension.

Lucy’s story is truly inspiring, proving the power of music to overcome challenges. Watch her incredible performance and witness a young talent who’s already made a lasting impression.
