Chuck Norris devoted his career to supporting his ailing wife, whom he lovingly calls his “ultimate companion.”

Chuck Norris is an action film icon, known for his martial arts skills and daring stunts. At 82, the Oklahoma native has starred in nearly 40 films, achieving success early in his career.

Alongside his professional accomplishments, Chuck has navigated a personal life marked by two long marriages, with his second still thriving, and fatherhood to five children. Recently, he shared troubling news about his wife Gena’s health.

Born on March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma, Chuck faced early challenges. His father’s alcoholism and eventual departure left his mother, Wilma, raising three sons alone. Moving frequently, the family eventually settled in California. Despite the hardships, Wilma instilled faith and resilience in Chuck, shaping his character.

In 1958, Chuck married his high school sweetheart, Dianne Holechek, and joined the Air Force. While stationed in South Korea, he discovered martial arts, a passion that would define his career. After leaving the military, Chuck became a karate instructor, opening over 30 studios and training celebrities like Steve McQueen.

His transition to acting began in the 1970s, leading to roles in hits like *Missing in Action* and *The Delta Force*. By the 1990s, Chuck shifted focus to philanthropy, founding Kickstart to teach martial arts and life skills to at-risk youth.

In his personal life, Chuck remarried Gena O’Kelley in 1998, and they share two children. In 2013, Gena faced a severe medical reaction, leading Chuck to step away from acting to care for her. Despite ongoing health challenges, the couple remains devoted to each other.

Chuck’s unwavering commitment to his family reflects his resilience and strength both on and off-screen.
