Madonna, 64, recently addressed her Instagram followers after being hospitalized for a bacterial infection, which led to the postponement of her highly anticipated world tour.
According to her family, the intense preparation for The Celebration Tour contributed to her health issues.
Expressing gratitude, Madonna thanked her fans for their support during her recovery. She shared, “Thank you for your positive energy, prayers, and encouragement. I’ve felt your love and am on the road to recovery, grateful for all the blessings in my life.”
The pop icon revealed her first thoughts upon waking in the hospital were of her children and her commitment to not letting down her fans or the team behind the tour.
“I hate to disappoint anyone,” she wrote, adding that her focus is now on regaining her strength. The North American tour dates will be rescheduled, with plans to start in Europe this October.
At the end of June, Madonna was found unconscious at home and rushed to the hospital. The star, known for her rigorous work ethic, had been rehearsing six days a week for the tour.
Recently, she was spotted in New York, enjoying a walk with a friend, signaling her gradual recovery.
