A young blonde recently started her job as a physical education teacher for a group of 16-year-olds. While supervising a soccer game on the field, she noticed a boy standing alone at the far end, away from the rest of the group.
Concerned, she decided to approach him. “Hey, is everything okay?” she asked kindly. The boy nodded silently but didn’t move to join the others.
Wanting to make him feel included, she added with a warm smile, “You can join the game and have some fun with your classmates, you know.”
To her surprise, the boy shook his head. “I think I’ll just stay here,” he said calmly. The teacher, curious about his reluctance, gently pressed further, “And why is that, sweetheart?”
The boy looked at her with a hint of confusion and replied, “Because I’m the goalie!”
The teacher paused, realizing her mistake, and couldn’t help but laugh at the situation. The boy smiled back, amused by the misunderstanding, and returned his focus to the game, standing proudly in his goalie position.
