Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have announced the birth of their second child, a son, born on May 30 at 8:49 AM.
The couple, who kept the birth private for a week, revealed their new arrival today, introducing him to the world. The newborn has been named Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, after his great-great-great-grandfather, Ronald Ferguson.
The little one now holds the thirteenth position in the line of succession to the British throne, moving Prince Edward, Princess Anne, and their descendants lower in rank. Despite this change, their chances of taking the throne remain slim.
Eugenie’s firstborn, August, born in 2021, has warmly welcomed his younger brother. Eugenie shared that Augie is enjoying his new role as a big brother.
Eugenie first announced her pregnancy in January, shortly after the media captured photos of her baby bump.
Despite being in the later stages of pregnancy, she attended King Charles’ coronation in early May. Her mother, Sarah Ferguson, had hinted at the joyous occasion approaching soon.
