The legendary Queen of Country, Dolly Parton, has returned with her latest album, *Rockstar*, a remarkable collection featuring collaborations with iconic artists like Elton John, Debbie Harry, and Sting. With over 30 tracks, including nine original songs, fans had hoped for a tour to celebrate the album.
However, Dolly recently confirmed she’s stepping away from touring. In an interview with *Good Housekeeping* to promote her album and new book, *Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones*, she revealed the heartfelt reason for her decision.
“I don’t tour anymore,” Dolly shared with a laugh. “I’m involved in so many ventures, and as my husband and I grow older—he’s a bit older than me—I feel it’s important to spend time with him.” For Dolly, prioritizing her husband and their time together is essential.
She also highlighted the challenges of touring, noting, “It demands a full commitment, and I’ve devoted my life to it.”
While fans won’t see her on a traditional tour, Dolly reassured them she’s open to performing at special events like award shows or television specials, keeping her music alive in new ways.
With her signature optimism, Dolly affirmed she’s not retiring completely, promising to keep inspiring fans with her music and passion.
