The Princess of Wales recently shared that her cancer treatment was conducted “quietly and privately.” During her visit to The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she received care, she spoke about the isolating experience.
Instead of having a support system like many patients, Kate underwent treatment alone, entering through a back door.

On January 14, 2025, Kate Middleton visited the hospital and met Katherine Field, a breast cancer patient in her fourth chemotherapy session.
Reflecting on her own journey, Kate noted the difference between her private struggle and the support felt by other patients in the ward. Despite the solitude, she found comfort in being among them.
Throughout 2024, Kate attended chemotherapy sessions away from the public eye after being diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer.

She kept her battle private, announcing her treatment in March and completing chemotherapy by September. Now in remission, Kate has become an advocate for others battling cancer.
