The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a heartfelt message on social media this weekend in celebration of Burns Night, honoring the legacy of iconic Scottish poet Robert Burns.
Their message read: “Celebrating the beauty of Scotland, the power of nature, and the poetry of Robert Burns, Happy Burns Night,” signed off with a Scottish flag emoji and their initials, “W & C.”

Scotland holds deep sentimental value for William and Kate, who first met at St Andrews University in 2001. The country has been a place of both profound loss and great joy for William.
He has spoken about finding solace in Scotland’s landscapes after losing his mother, Princess Diana, while also cherishing it as the place where he met his future wife.

The royal couple wasn’t the only one to mark the occasion—King Charles III also shared a rare photo from Balmoral, wearing a traditional kilt made from his own tartan.

The King extended his Burns Night wishes to those celebrating from the library of Balmoral Castle, further highlighting the royal family’s enduring connection to Scotland.
