Prince William shares that he and Princess Kate have begun important conversations with Prince George…

Prince William and Princess Kate have begun meaningful discussions about the Holocaust with their eldest son, Prince George.

During Holocaust Memorial Day commemorations on Monday, Prince William spoke with survivors, including Alfred Garwood, a child survivor of Bergen-Belsen, and Sabina Kadic-Mackenzie, a Bosnian genocide survivor now living in Liverpool.

The royal couple expressed their desire to educate their children about this important historical event. William shared, “George is at the age where he’s starting to grasp things, so it’s becoming an important topic to discuss with him.”

Later, Kate and William joined about 50 Holocaust survivors at the Guildhall, where Kate had an emotional reunion with survivors Yvonne Bernstein and Steven Frank, whom she had met in 2020. The touching reunion included hugs and expressions of gratitude.

During the ceremony, Prince William gave a reading to honor the victims of the Holocaust and spoke about his great-grandmother, Princess Alice of Battenberg, who saved a Jewish family from the Nazis. Both Kate and William lit candles to remember the lives lost.

For the event, Kate wore a black ensemble with poignant pearls, while William looked dapper in a navy suit.
