Dwyane Wade recently shared a shocking health update, revealing that he had a cancerous tumor removed from his kidney.
Speaking on *The WY Network* podcast, the 43-year-old NBA legend explained that he had been dealing with stomach pain, urinary issues, and severe cramps.

Concerned, especially given his father’s history of prostate cancer, he decided to see a doctor.
That visit led to an unexpected diagnosis—a tumor on his right kidney.
“I didn’t go in for my kidney, but they found a tumor,” Wade said. “It was something they could biopsy and remove.” After consulting multiple doctors, he underwent surgery in December 2023, with his family by his side.

The experience was overwhelming. “That was the weakest I’ve ever felt in my life,” he admitted.
Now, with a fresh outlook, Wade is embracing life with renewed purpose. He credits his family, including his wife, Gabrielle Union, for their unwavering support. “In my weakness, I found strength in my family,” he shared.

This life-changing moment has reshaped his perspective, and Wade is now committed to living with intention—making every moment count.
