Ringo Starr just made a revelation that left fans in shock.
During his appearance on *Jimmy Kimmel Live!* on Tuesday, the 84-year-old Beatles drummer admitted that he has never eaten one of the world’s most popular foods—despite once promoting it.
“I’ve never had a pizza,” Starr confirmed, prompting stunned silence from the audience. “Never had a pizza.”
As the crowd reacted in disbelief, he added another surprising detail: “Or a curry.”
Explaining his strict diet, Starr shared that he avoids certain foods due to allergies. “With pizza, you don’t always know what’s in it, same with curry. So I’m pretty careful because it makes me ill immediately.”
Host Jimmy Kimmel, taken aback, joked, “I used to think you had the greatest life, and now I realize mine is better.” Starr laughed, agreeing, “Yours is better because you’ve had a pizza.”
Ironically, in 1995, Starr appeared in a Pizza Hut commercial to promote stuffed crust pizza. The ad played on fans’ hopes for a Beatles reunion, only to reveal a twist—his “bandmates” in the spot were actually The Monkees.
While they enjoyed a slice, Starr never took a bite.
A longtime vegetarian, Starr previously told *Rolling Stone* in 2022, “I have broccoli with everything and blueberries every morning. I just do what feels good for me.”
