Shakira showed her support for the immigrant community at the 2025 Grammys.
The 48-year-old singer won the Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album for her album *Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran*, with the award presented by Jennifer Lopez—five years after they co-headlined the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show.
During her acceptance speech, the Colombian artist dedicated the award to her fellow immigrants, saying, “I want to dedicate this award to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country.
You are loved, you are worth it, and I will always fight with you.” She also acknowledged the hard-working women who provide for their families, calling them “the true she wolves.”
Shakira, who shares two children, Milan and Sasha, with her ex-partner Gerard Piqué, expressed her pride in her children, thanking them for their unwavering support. She also shared how much she had sacrificed for love during her relationship with Piqué, which ended publicly in 2022 amid cheating rumors.
The night was special for Shakira, as she performed “Ojos Asi” and “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53″—her first Grammy performance in nearly 20 years. Afterward, she expressed how much fun she had, calling the show one of the best editions in Grammy history.
Shakira’s *Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran* album, her 12th studio release, dropped in March. She now has four Grammy Awards.
