Kanye West’s unexpected appearance at the 2025 Grammys sparked some curiosity.
Raj Kapoor, the executive producer of the Grammys, explained that West was on the red carpet with his wife, Bianca Censori, because he was nominated for Best Rap Song for “Carnival” from his *Vultures 1* album.
However, after walking the red carpet, West left the event shortly after.
Kapoor also shared that seating at the Grammys is carefully arranged.
Since West wasn’t performing, presenting, or nominated for an award, he didn’t have a reserved seat in the VIP section.
This year’s Grammys also focused on supporting those affected by the L.A. wildfires.
The Recording Academy and MusiCares raised $24 million for wildfire relief efforts.
Performances included “I Love L.A.” by John Legend, Dawes, Brad Paisley, Brittany Howard, Sheryl Crow, and St. Vincent, as well as “California Dreamin’” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.
