The BAFTA Awards are quickly approaching, set to take place on February 16, 2025. This glamorous night is always a highlight of the British film calendar, with everyone eagerly anticipating which stars will grace the red carpet.
However, there’s one familiar face we might miss this year—the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton.

Kate may have to skip the event, as it falls during the start of her children’s half-term holiday. As a devoted mom to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, Kate has always prioritized family time, especially during school breaks.
The Wales family often spends these holidays together at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, or on private family trips.
While nothing has been confirmed, it’s likely that Kate will opt to spend the evening with her young children rather than attending the star-studded event.

In the past, BAFTA film committee chair Anna Higgs has expressed hope that Kate will attend alongside her husband, Prince William, who serves as the president of BAFTA.
Kate’s rare appearances at the BAFTAs have always been a moment to remember, and fans look forward to seeing her incredible elegance on display. We’ll have to wait and see if family time will take precedence this year.
