Naomi Watts made the Critics Choice Awards a family affair by bringing her 17-year-old son, Sasha Schreiber, as her guest.
The actress, 56, and Sasha matched in black formalwear as they walked the red carpet at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
Watts was nominated for Best Actress in a Limited Series for her role in *Feud: Capote vs. The Swans*. However, the award went to Cristin Milioti for *The Penguin*.
While Watts didn’t win, Sasha had another reason to celebrate—his father, Liev Schreiber, won Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for *The Perfect Couple*.
Schreiber admitted he almost skipped the event, thinking he had no chance of winning.
Watts has been nominated at the Critics Choice Awards before. She won in 2013 for *The Impossible* and was nominated in 2004 for *21 Grams*.
Sasha, born in 2007, is the eldest child of Watts and Schreiber. The former couple, who also share a daughter, Kai, were together for 11 years before separating in 2016.
