Céline Dion, one of the most celebrated voices in music, is facing an immense personal battle. For years, she has been struggling with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes painful muscle spasms and mobility issues.
As her stage appearances become increasingly rare, a new documentary, *Céline Dion, La Dame de Fer*, offers a glimpse into her daily struggles and the challenges she faces behind the scenes.

The disease has transformed even the simplest tasks into obstacles. Dion has described the sensation as an invisible force tightening around her throat, leading to uncontrollable spasms.
Some were so severe that they caused broken ribs. She sometimes loses control of her fingers, making everyday activities difficult, and her feet occasionally freeze in unnatural positions.
These symptoms have forced her to step away from the stage, canceling performances and remaining largely out of the public eye.
Her family initially dismissed the symptoms as minor muscle issues, until one day she could no longer put on her boots. After 17 years without answers, she was finally diagnosed in 2022.

Though her future in music remains uncertain, her legacy as one of the greatest voices of all time will endure.
