The Loose Women star shared news of her divorce last May.
Ruth Langsford has revealed she’ll be celebrating Valentine’s Day with her friends this year.
The TV presenter, who announced her split from Eamonn Holmes last May, shared that she plans to enjoy a Galentine’s outing with her closest pals.

During Monday’s episode of *Loose Women*, Ruth joined fellow panellists Sally Dynevor, Brenda Edwards, and Ayda Field Williams to discuss Valentine’s Day. She noted that ‘Galentine’s’ or ‘Palentine’s’ celebrations are becoming increasingly popular, particularly among younger generations.
“Valentine’s Day is approaching, and we’ll be marking ‘Loose Love’ all week,” Ruth said. “But this year, instead of hearts and flowers, it’s all about friendship, as Galentine’s and Palentine’s mean more to young people these days.” She then shared her own plans, revealing, “Some of my girlfriends invited me out for a Galentine’s celebration, and I thought, ‘That’s really lovely.’ I’ve never done that before!”
Her Valentine’s plans come nine months after she and Eamonn announced their divorce. The former couple, who were together for 14 years, share a 22-year-old son, Jack.
In a recent interview with *Woman&Home*, Ruth reflected on her split, acknowledging that while ending a relationship is difficult, moving forward is essential.

“Breakups—whether in marriage or friendships—are tough, but you have to deal with them and move on,” she stated. “You can either let yourself fall apart or pick yourself up and keep going. It’s a choice.”
She also admitted that although she’s not thrilled about her marriage ending, she has come to terms with it. “I’m not happy about it, but I’ve accepted it. Now, I’m embracing single life and making choices that are just for me,” she added.
