Too Scared to Sing for Her Own Family… Until She Stepped on the America’s Got Talent Stage

Simon Cowell said it best: this singer has no idea how good she is. Brook Lynn, a nervous 23-year-old from the Netherlands, admitted before her America’s Got Talent 2026 audition that she was too anxious to even sing in front of her own parents.

Then she opened her mouth, and the room went silent. Her soulful cover of Billie Eilish’s “The Greatest” built to a huge climax around the three-minute mark, pulling the crowd to its feet mid-song. Her mother was seen crying in the audience as she nailed it.

Brook’s audition aired June 23, 2026, and has already hit 690,000 views in four weeks. Viewers at home clearly loved what they saw, leaving comments like “This would have been a golden buzzer if there were any left, but wow the singers are killing it this season” and “She’s better than all the other singers that got golden buzzers, not gonna lie, this was amazing.”

Before AGT, Brook had built a small YouTube following, most notably with her original song “Empty,” which shows off her soulful voice and songwriting skills.
