This video will scare you! A cougar chases a guy for six minutes, and this is what happens in the end

It was meant to be a peaceful jog through the woods. Kyle Burgess had an experience with a cougar on a midday run in Slate Canyon, Utah, that he’ll never forget.

He was out on the path at approximately 5 p.m. and just 2 miles from the trailhead when he saw the 4 cougar kittens. He instantly saw their mom as she approached the corner. That’s when the problems started.

Burgess videotaped the next six terrifying minutes as the cougar chased him as he carefully backed up and proceeded down the path, pressing the record button on his camera. In the video, the mom cat approaches Burgess and lunges at him multiple times, her jaws and claws out. Every time, Burgess keeps his calm and demands the cat go away. The cougar keeps chasing him, going into the woods and coming back even closer than before.

“This is frightening,” he adds at one point, “and I don’t feel like dy.i.n.g today.”

After what seems like an eternity, Burgess is able to frighten the cougar away with a rock and flee back to her kids.

“When she lunged in the video, that’s when I either took my eyes off her or went to look for a rock,” Burgess later said to KSL. “I didn’t feel like I was about to di..e.” I was certain I was going to be wounded. ”

The interaction is shown in the following news footage.

He did everything correctly, according to wildlife specialists. He remained huge and loud, did not break eye contact, and did not pick up the rock too quickly.
