Zara Tindall had been concerned about her mother, Princess Anne’s demanding schedule even before a recent horse-related injury.
On June 24, the palace announced that 73-year-old Princess Anne had suffered a concussion and minor injuries at Gatcombe Park, leading to temporary memory loss.
Medical experts believe the injuries were caused by impact with a horse’s head or legs.
Christopher Andersen, author of “The King,” mentioned that Zara had been worried about the palace overburdening her mother, who completed 457 engagements last year. Zara was understandably shaken after seeing her mother hospitalized.
Following the incident, Princess Anne’s upcoming engagements were removed from the Royal Family’s official diary as she recovers.
Although she was discharged on June 28, her return to royal duties remains uncertain.
Despite the injury, Anne participated in Trooping the Colour on June 15, demonstrating her resilience as an accomplished equestrian.
