Lyn May, a Chinese-Mexican showgirl, starred in nearly 100 films and became known as “The Goddess of Love.” Born Lilia Guadalupe Mendiola Mayares in Acapulco, Mexico, in 1952, she faced many challenges in her early life.
To support her family, she sold souvenirs and worked as a waitress, where she met an American sailor 30 years her senior. After moving to Mexico City and having two daughters, their relationship ended amid allegations of abuse.
After her divorce, Lyn launched her dancing career, quickly gaining attention on the popular television show *Siempre en Domingo*.
Her talent led her to burlesque performances at Teatro Esperanza Iris, where she gained fame in the Ficheras films of the 1970s and 1980s. However, her popularity declined as these films waned.
Lyn’s life also included personal tragedies. After her first marriage ended, she married businessman Antonio Chi Su in 1989, but he passed away from cancer in 2008.
In a shocking revelation, Lyn admitted to exhuming his body to cope with her grief.
In 2021, she made headlines by claiming to be pregnant at 68 with her 29-year-old fiancé, although this turned out to be a publicity stunt. Despite her struggles, Lyn remains a resilient and captivating figure.
