Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith ended their 18-year marriage in 2014, during which they raised their daughter, Stella del Carmen, born in 1996.
During their marriage, Banderas also became close with Melanie’s daughter from her first marriage, Dakota Johnson.
His romance with Griffith was partly responsible for his divorce from his first wife, actress Ana Lesa. Banderas revealed in interviews a few years ago that he hasn’t seen his first wife since their split.
Since 2015, Banderas has been happily involved with investment banker Nicole Kempel, who is over 20 years younger.
He has expressed in interviews that he has found the ideal relationship, noting that previous marriages with actresses were overly emotional. Banderas feels content in their partnership and sees no need for a formal marriage.
Recently, Nicole, 41, shared a photo of them together, captioning it, “After another long day of filming, Antonio invited me to a romantic dinner in London.”
Banderas replied with “I love you” in Spanish, while fans responded with heartfelt comments praising their relationship.
Known for his roles as a romantic lead, Banderas has starred in numerous films, including “The Legend of Zorro” and “Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Fate.” He celebrated his 63rd birthday on August 10.
