Only a few good Samaritans exist today, and seeing such a rare act of kindness always warms our hearts. The same can be said for this touching story. This is the subject of the following poignant story.
This is the tale of a young woman and her horse. This child and her horse’s tale got a lot of attention, but what makes them so special? They look to have known each other for a long time, but they merely met by coincidence on the road. They traveled a different route that day and came upon this distressed horse.
Kelsey was driving her mom in their trailer to their next swap meet. Kelsey’s mom, on the other hand, chose a different path that day. They were driving down the road when they saw a horse lying on the side of the road. They realized they needed to slow down and take a closer look at the problem.
The family members were worried after seeing the horse’s plight. The horse looked to be in its last minutes. The whip markings on the horse’s body were obvious. Someone doing such a thing to this horse is unforgivable. Maybe the people who used to own her realized they could no longer make money from her and left her on the side of the road.
They did everything to coax the unhappy horse into their trailer, but nothing worked. Whatever they did, they couldn’t get the horse into the trailer.But Kelsey was passionate about saving the horse and persisted on walking it back home. Despite the fact that it was the most reasonable course of action, Kelsey’s home was still nine miles away.
Kelsey kept walking the horse home as she thought it was the right thing to do. They reached after four hours, and the family quickly began planning to nurture the horse and bring him back to life.
They were eventually successful in saving the horse. When the horse took a nap for five days, Kelsey and the rest of her family were worried. Kelsey would spend the whole day at the stable, praying that the horse might be spared. Kelsey’s wish was granted, and when she woke up the next morning, she found a healthy, grateful horse.
