Wildlife is amazing! Everyday we observe a lot going on in wild animal’s habitat. There are things, which although, are natural in wildlife, but sometimes they break our hearts when we see it. This time wildlife photographer captured giraffe who sacrificed his life for his baby.
These chilling images depict the painful moment when a giraffe gives her life to save her offspring.
The photographs, which were shot by wildlife photographer James Nampaso, 38, show a lion trying to jump at a newborn giraffe.

However, in an attempt to fend off the lion, the calf’s protective mom rushes to the lion’s way.
The breathtaking images were taken in Kenya’s Olare Motorogi Conservancy.
“It’s a real world experience in 12 years that I’ve never seen before,” James remarked.

The lion pack has gathered all around giraffe youngster, plainly viewing it as easy food.

However, meal was not as simple to get by as they had planned, as the heroic mother put up a brave confrontation, facing with them and trying to save her little one.
The lion gets onto her shoulders at one scene, and she kicks him off.

But it isn’t long until the mother and the infant are brought low by pride.
“The lions were attempting to split the mother and infant, and they eventually succeeded in separating and k.i.l.l.i.n.g the baby,” James continued.

“It’s nature, but it’s still a horrible situation.”
